Mary-Catherine Pazzano (she/her)
Artistic Director

Mary-Catherine began her first season as artistic director of the Age of Majority Singers in 2024. For the past decade, Mary-Catherine has been working steadily as a concert and freelance vocalist, music educator, vocal coach, and music director. As a professional jazz vocalist, her concert career has taken her across North America and New Zealand. Also in demand as a private voice coach, Mary-Catherine maintains a sought-after voice studio, and has taught multiple workshops and ensembles at Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo. 

Jack Wyndham (he/him)
Accompanist

Jack Wyndham is a local pianist and recording artist with an active online presence. He has recorded several albums of solo piano music that cover all bases from pop, to classical, to jazz, and original compositions. When Jack is not in the practice room, he can be found teaching students at the Kitchener Academy of Music, or educating folks all over the world through online video calls. Jack has played for groups including Eastwood Collegiate's Concert Choir, Preston Mennonite Church, The Royal City Big Band, Penny and Pound Theatre Company, The Cambridge Symphony, The Noteworthy Singers and The Waterloo Region Police Chorus.

History

AOMS was formed in January 2013. Educators Nancy Kidd and Terry English recognized that there were limited choir opportunities for young adults at the post-secondary level. This led them to envision the creation of AOMS.

AOMS started as a program of the Lyrical Lines Education Network (LLEN), which provides opportunities that enhance and advance musical knowledge and ability in our community.

Since 2013, AOMS has shared the stage with world-class musicians including; Joni NehRita, Kevin Ramessar, Wellington Winds, The Penderecki String Quartet and The Tenors.

Age of Majority Singers welcomes singers 18+.

Board of Directors

The Age of Majority Singers Board of Directors meets monthly to govern the choir. This group of volunteers is responsible for a lot of the behind the scenes operations that help make the choir a unique and rewarding experience. The board is elected for one year terms by choir members at our Annual General Meeting.
